Community Engagement

There are several questions which have arisen in the process of this projects growth which would benefit from Community Participation

1. What do people really spend a week on food in London? Where and on what?

2. Do shared times in sensory concentration on the beauty of the everyday produce help to generate memories and stories related to food in people with dementia?

3. Can an artist be an "activist" in promoting attention to beauty in the everyday?

4. How can the journeys of food produce be related to the journeys of people in our capital city, and what are the stories of both and how do they bind us together?

5. Art brings people together and food brings people together, can art with food as its subject add to social cohesion?

6. How do we bridge the gap between online communities and real world community?

7. What is the relationship between Science and Art in examining questions about food production and produce longevity?

8. How do our questions about food production and precurement relate to general questions about developments in our society?

I am putting together  a small project starting to adress these questions, the first one to be addressed is realted to our own food stories, and initially with questions 2, 4 and 6 in mind.  The launch of this part of the project is on 19th June 2015 at 10 Grand Arcade, North Finchley, 11 am.  Updates will be found on the Food Story Bank page of this blog.

Question 1 is addressed in the invitation to participate page of this blog.
